When you first send your Humankind character on an adventure, a gas fee is incurred because this process involves interacting with a smart contract on the blockchain. This is an important step because it secures your character and its traits on the blockchain, ensuring transparency and security.
After that initial interaction, all other moves and actions in the game are handled through web2, which means they don’t require additional gas fees. This allows you to enjoy the adventure without worrying about additional costs each time your character makes a move or interacts with the game world. (some actions might cost XP, though!)
